Honing processIts unique feature is that it cannot be replaced by other cutting processes, so it has developed greatly in recent years and has been widely used. In the past, the development of honing technology in China was relatively lagging behind. The high-end market for honing products was mainly occupied by a few large companies such as Germany, the United States, Italy, and Japan for a long time. Importing a high-precision vertical honing machine cost at least hundreds of thousands to millions of euros. Coupled with the high cost of tools, many user companies were discouraged. Some even complained that their profits were used to purchase honing tools. After decades of unremitting efforts by Chinese honing people, Chinese companies have gradually occupied a place on the world's honing technology stage, breaking the monopoly of foreign companies and bringing benefits to Chinese processing companies.
1. Host technology progress
(1) Intelligent operation
The honing process is a very complex process. Factors such as machine tool spindle rotation, spindle reciprocation, spindle reversal, grinding head whetstone feeding, cooling system and other factors all affect the accuracy of machined parts. Only by repeatedly experimenting and adjusting parameters during the actual processing can reliable honing processing accuracy be obtained. In this regard, German Green's lifehone series high-precision honing control unit adopts Green's special control system, which has a program assistant function. By inputting a few workpiece material and tool data, the relevant parameters will be automatically calculated. In addition, the system will also store all data and processing procedures. For any level of honing master, the program assistant will help simplify the operation and make the processing simple and easy to understand.
(2) Processing efficiency
At the exhibition, almost all honing manufacturers exhibited CNC sequential honing machines. This kind of processing uses a set of diamond reamers of different diameters to perform processing in order of size. Each diameter tool only performs a reciprocating cutting action. After all the multiple tools are processed, the final part size requirements are reached. Sequential honing can achieve higher production efficiency and better geometric accuracy, and it is easy to maintain the consistency of part dimensions. For example, Beijing No. 1 Machine Tool Factory's B3HM-022 CNC sequential honing machine, SUNNEN's VSS-2 series sequential honing machine, and Beijing Dazu's sequential honing machine can all achieve processing accuracy of roundness 0.0015mm and columnarity 0.002mm.

Under the impact of new technologies, China's machine tool manufacturing industry has gradually transformed from an old-fashioned structure with a single function and simple protection in the past to one with diversified processing functions, beautiful appearance, and more ergonomics. The beautiful and clean outer cover ensures a safe and stable operating environment, and the removable side cover panel facilitates the addition and integration of the automatic loading and unloading system. When the workpiece is in the loading and unloading station, a micro cylinder will push the processed workpiece away from the normal loading and unloading station to ensure that the next workpiece is installed correctly.
At the same time, green concepts such as energy conservation, consumption reduction, and resource conservation are also more reflected in the exhibits. If the machine tool is on standby for more than 30 minutes, the machine tool work lights will automatically go out. When it is restarted, the work lights will light up, striving to reduce power consumption while operating at high efficiency.
