What problems often occur during quenching of cold drawn pipes

During the quenching heat treatment of cold drawn pipes, it is easy for improper operation and control to affect the performance of the pipe itself and cause direct damage to the quality. So what are the problems that often occur during quenching of cold drawn pipes?
1. Due to the low speed during the quenching cooling process, it is easy to cause problems such as insufficient hardness and uneven hardness of the cold drawn tube. Insufficient quenching hardness is often caused by insufficient cooling speed in the medium and high temperature stages, so the low-temperature cooling speed of the quenching medium used is accelerated.
2. The core hardness of the cold-drawn tube is too high after quenching. This problem may be related to the selected medium cooling speed being too fast or the low-temperature cooling speed of the medium being too high. One of the solutions is to change the quenching oil to meet the requirements. The second method is to contact the quenching medium manufacturer and add appropriate additives to slow down the medium and low temperature cooling rate of the quenching oil. The third method is to switch to steel types with low hardenability.
3. Quenching deformation. You can speed up the cooling rate and try to achieve uniform cooling. When applying, you only need to reasonably select measures with the same direction of action. It can solve the quenching deformation problem in most cold drawn pipe processing plants.
During the production process, cold-drawn pipe manufacturers are constantly exploring, constantly discovering and solving problems, so today's cold-drawn pipes are continuously strengthened in the development process.
