Overview of the characteristics of the cold drawn production method of rolled tubes
The cold drawing method of rolled tube has the following characteristics:
1. High manufacturing efficiency: It takes 154 hours to manufacture a cylinder liner with a nominal diameter of 420mm and a length of 12 meters using the traditional method, but only 4 minutes using the cold drawing method.
2. High productivity: Because the boring rolling head also serves as a guide, during the drilling process, the rough tube becomes rigid due to its weight, causing the rolling head and boring tool to deviate, resulting in waste. The yield rate is only around 60%, but when manufactured using the cold drawing method, the yield rate is around 95%.
3. High metal usage rate: Using the traditional boring method to produce engine blocks, the metal usage rate can only be 50-70%. When using the drawing method, the metal material is not drilled into iron powder, but can be enlarged by 30%, and the metal material utilization rate reaches 95%.
4. Can be improvedRolled tubePhysical properties of the material: It is made by drawing method, which allows the blank to obtain about 30% plastic deformation. Due to cold work hardening, the compressive strength limit of the finished pipe metal material increases significantly.
