The cycles are repeated, the production cycle is long, and the metal consumption is large; the equipment is mostly arranged in a single unit, and is generally produced intermittently.

Since surface defects will continue to expand during the cold deformation process, and as the pipe diameter decreases during production, it becomes more difficult to repair the inner surface defects of the honed pipe. Therefore, the surface defects of the pipe material should be eliminated as much as possible before cold processing.
